'Did you know that the older the bonsai, the more value it has?'
Below we describe some of our own favorite bonsai trees:
- Carmona Chuu
The Carmona Chuu is an indoor bonsai and is 13 years old. This traditionally grown bonsai tree is also known as the 'Fukien tea tree'. This bonsai characterizes itself by its shiny small leaves and striking white flowers. Certainly one of our favorite indoor bonsais.
2. Zelkova Dai
The Zelkova Dai is an 18 year old indoor bonsai and is known for its serrated leaves and smooth bark. Depending on the season, the foliage varies from fresh green to deep red. This bonsai is a beautiful addition for the autumn period.
3. Pinus Parviflora
Another favorite bonsai on our list is the Pinus Parviflora. This falls into the category of real Japanese bonsais and is therefore a bit more expensive than other bonsais. This Japanese bonsai is a bonsai tree for indoors and is 20 years old. If you want to go for a real authentic bonsai, then this is definitely one we will recommend.
What makes a bonsai tree so special?
There are so many plants that you can have in your home, so why would you buy a bonsai tree? What makes this tree so special? A bonsai is like a living work of art that will distinguish your interior from others. Moreover, bonsai has a rich history and is one of the oldest traditions of man. The first evidence of bonsai is more than 3000 years old and comes from China. It was only later, around the 13th century, that Japan came into contact with it and refined the art to what we know it as today.
Literally translated, bonsai means 'plant in pot', which is why we always deliver the bonsais in a pot or bowl. The art of a bonsai tree revolves around growing a miniature tree. Every bonsai is unique and no two trees are the same.
Buying a bonsai is an investment in beauty, peace and art. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced bonsai enthusiast, there is always a bonsai that suits you.
